This week, we shared stories on social media of why people choose to attend our Grocery Store Blitz (#whyiblitzrc ). . . . Tomorrow morning YOU have the opportunity to impact our community for the Lord by meeting very real, physical needs that exist in our own backyard. We can’t wait to see you there!

“The Grocery Store Blitz is an amazing time to give back to the community but, it’s more than that. It’s a time for God’s people to get together and serve. My family and I have been going for 3 years and see it as another way to serve not only someone who needs a meal but, God Himself (Matthew 25:40). We know that everything we have comes from Him (John 3:27). With this perception and understanding it changes everything about the Blitz and what we do there. This is what drives us there monthly realizing everything we have is from God and that it’s all His. It’s not only a way to serve but, a way to praise and be thankful for what He has given us making His deeds known (Isaiah 12:4). My wife and I take our 3 kids with us not only to serve and praise but, to show them that all people are important (Proverbs 22:6). We are thankful for Revolution church and all it does for the community. “What a blessing it is to belong to a church body that prays for, welcomes and helps provide a basic need for so many needy families in our community. The thought of parents struggling to provide a meal for their children is heartbreaking. Anyone who knows me knows that children are my heart. When I enter Food Lion, the first Saturday of each month, I am thinking about what a child would need and want. The summer months are quickly approaching and that need will be so much greater! Please search your heart and pray for provision for these children. We would also love for you to join us for our Grocery Store Blitz to see what it’s all about and how you can participate. “I have always been blessed with food in my life and never had to worry about hunger or had to go one day without food. I can't imagine what it's like to not know where your next meal comes from. I have more than enough, so I can extend what God has provided me to someone else who needs it even more than me. Essentially I just extended God's blessing & his love to others in the area as he would want it done anyway. Revolution has made it easy to give to many in the community with just one act of kindness a month, to some that you wouldn't even know is struggling for their next meal. The love of God and the way he provides for his people should spill out to meet the needs of others through his church. Ordinarily, it may seem just like a group of church members uniting to gather food for people and that’s wonderful but at the same time, it is so much more than that: You are ultimately making the statement “Lord, use me. Use me to be your hands and feet. This past weekend we had our first ever Women's Retreat! A group of almost 50 women travelled to Ridgecrest Conference Center for Pebbles & Stones and it was a HUGE success.
